01Core Principle: Safety First
Do not look at the screen while riding. Waycon is designed for gloves and voice; still, stop before typing a message, searching channels or editing your profile.
- Follow traffic rules and speed limits. Speed and statistics in the app are for your log, not for racing.
- When you spot a hazard in the channel (gravel, crash, animal), warn briefly and clearly: “Right-hander, gravel.”
- Follow the instructions of the group leader and the sweeper (last rider).
02Channel Etiquette
- Mute your mic when you are not talking; wind and exhaust noise tire everyone.
- Don’t interrupt. Except for emergencies, wait until the speaker finishes.
- Be patient with newcomers in public channels; everyone was on their first ride once.
- Do not use misleading, offensive or impersonating names in channels or your profile.
03Respect and Zero Tolerance
The following lead to immediate suspension:
- Harassment, threats, bullying or persistent unwanted contact
- Hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or motorcycle brand(!)
- Sexual or non-consensual content
- Sharing another user’s personal information (location, phone, address) without permission
04Location and Privacy
- Location data in a channel stays in that channel. Don’t screenshot and share it elsewhere.
- Make sure the people you invite understand how location sharing works.
- Do not accumulate location data in a way that reveals someone’s home, workplace or routine.
05Abuse of the Emergency Flow
Filing fake crash reports, triggering the 112 call as a joke or defining someone else’s emergency contacts without consent results in a permanent ban and is reported to the authorities where necessary.
06Invites and Rewards
- The invite-and-earn system is for real riders. Rewards are cancelled when fake accounts, bots or self-invites are detected.
- Badges are personal; they cannot be sold or transferred.
07Reporting and Enforcement
When you see a violation, use Report in the channel or write to info@wave.app. Reports are kept confidential. Sanctions range from a warning to temporary suspension or permanent closure depending on severity; you can appeal via the contact form.
