When it detects a sudden impact it starts a full-screen countdown and asks if you're okay. With one tap you can call SOS or send your emergency contact a message with your location; if you don't respond, the message draft opens and sending is up to you. If you're fine, cancel with one tap.

Frequently asked questions

Is Waycon free?

Yes, the core features are free. Rider and Leader plans add more voice minutes, channels and extra features.

Do I need a helmet intercom?

No. Waycon works over your phone's mobile data. If you have a helmet intercom or Bluetooth earpiece you can use it too.

How much mobile data does it use?

Voice channels are data-friendly; an hour of conversation costs roughly a few dozen MB. See the table above; values are estimates.

Who can see my location?

Only members of the private channel you joined see your live location, and it is not stored. A recorded ride is kept in your account and becomes public only if you publish it.

Does crash detection call 112 automatically?

No. When an impact is detected a full-screen countdown starts; you start the call with one tap, or an SMS draft with your location opens for your emergency contact and you confirm sending. Waycon is not an emergency service.

Is there an Android version?

We are currently on the App Store for iPhone. We will announce Android here.

How do I delete my account and data?

In the app, go to Settings → Account to delete your account and data.
