01Scope and Data Controller
This Privacy Policy covers personal data processed when you use the Waycon mobile application (iOS and Android) and the Waycon website, provided by Waycon Technologies (“Waycon”, “we”).

02Data We Collect
We collect the minimum data the app needs to work:

03How We Use Data
- Group intercom: Audio is streamed only to the members of your channel; it is not recorded on our servers.
- Live location sharing: Your position is shown only to members of the private channel you are active in. Sharing stops and the history is deleted when you leave the channel or the ride ends.
- Automatic crash detection: Motion data is processed on your device. Only when a crash is detected and you do not cancel the countdown is your location sent to 112 and your emergency contacts.
- Accident report: Document photos and voice input are processed to build the report; after completion the documents stay on your device and the server copy is deleted within 30 days.
- Garage and community: Ride statistics, badges and invite rewards are linked to your account.
- Security and improvement: Crash logs and anonymous usage metrics keep the app stable.
04Location and Sensor Data — Privacy by Design
Location sharing is active only after you join a channel and start a ride. Location data is kept in memory and destroyed when the channel closes. Accelerometer/gyroscope data used for crash detection never leaves your device; only the outcome (time and location of the event) is shared in the emergency flow.
You can revoke location and sensor permissions at any time in your device settings. The intercom keeps working; live location and crash detection are disabled.
06Retention
- Account data: while your account is open; deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
- Live location: until the channel closes (no permanent record).
- Ride history and statistics: until you delete them or close your account.
- Accident report documents (server copy): up to 30 days.
- Technical logs and crash reports: 90 days.
07Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of and port your data. Use Settings → Account → Download my data / Delete my account in the app, or write to info@wave.app. Requests are answered within 30 days at the latest.
08Children’s Privacy
Waycon is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if we become aware of such a case we delete the account and its data.
09Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes we show an in-app notice and update the “Last updated” date on this page. The current policy is always published at this address.
